May Recap + June TBR

Hi everyone!
Like most of us, I’ve felt burdened and weary in regards to the news in America. And like most of us, I have a lot of opinions. I have felt like I can’t do much for enjoyment and have only able to absorb the news on a near-constant basis, therefore this post is a few days late. It just did not feel right to post something so trivial when my beloved country has been facing horrible turmoil.

Oftentimes, I think the internet does more to divide us than to bring us together. It’s an alternate reality where everyone can shout their opinions directly into the faces of friends, acquaintances, and strangers alike. The temptation to join into that shouting match can be all too great sometimes. I truly believe most people mean well with their posts, because despite everything, I still believe most people are inherently good. We all want to change the world, but we have different ways of pursuing that change.

One thing I know for sure is this: If we treat everyone we come into contact within our lives with the love and dignity they deserve the world WILL be better. It’s a simple solution to a complex problem.

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
1 Peter 4:8

If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.
Proverbs 25:21

God bless you all,
Ashley
