Who Am I Book Tag

Thank you Siobhan’s Novelties for this fun tag!!

If you were a book genre, what would it be?

Can I pick Time-Travel? I love this genre so much and have always been fascinated by the concept of time in every possible way.

What villain from a book do you identify with the most?

Margo Moon from Marrow by Tarryn Fisher. Though I wouldn’t really consider her a villain, she’s more of an anti-heroine. I love a good vigilante story, especially when she’s female!

What protagonist are you most similar to?

Josie from Running Barefoot by Amy Harmon is incredibly similar to me, especially to my younger self.

Which book did you connect with in the past that you no longer do?

I recently reread A Bend in the Road by Nicholas Sparks and found myself skimming much of it. I think I enjoyed certain of his books more when I was a less mature reader.

What recent book read would you love to be a character in?

Secrets of the Chocolate House by Paula Brackston. Again, it’s a time-travel novel but I would be content to be a character in the present time period! I love the quaint shop that feels like its own character in this series.

How do your reading habits show off in your personality?

I’m MOODY! I struggle to read books I’m not in the mood for, which makes reading ARCs challenging if I don’t get them soon after I request them. I also am a bit of an idealist, so I enjoy reading happily ever afters. I also enjoy reading books that make me feel deeply — I look for an emotional connection or deep thoughts.

What book taught you something about yourself?

Every book about Introversion – Quiet by Susan Cain, Introvert Power by Laurie Helgoe, and The Secret Lives of Introverts by Jenn Granneman. Topics of Introversion and Extroversion are all the rage online now, but before that time I constantly was trying to fight my true nature because I didn’t understand it. I didn’t think it was acceptable to be quiet or enjoy being home as much as I do. These books helped me accept myself and be proud of who I am, rather than feeling like something was wrong with me.

I’m tagging:

Wow! Such a fun tag and amazing answers! 😍 Thank you so much for tagging me! I would love to do this one!!! I’m moody too and I totally agree, it does make ARCs difficult to get through. I love happily-ever-afters too but my favorite books are usually the ones that devastate me by the time they end ughh. Secrets of the Chocolate House sounds so interesting. Can’t wait to check it out.
