Behind the Blogger Tag

Hi everyone!
I’m still using this week to catch up on my tags while whittling away at my reading list. I’ll catch up on reviewing soon! In the meantime, I was nominated for this fun tag by Siobhan’s Novelties. Be sure to check out her beautiful blog!

The Rules

  • Thank the person who nominated you
  • Answer all the questions down below
  • Pingback to the creator: Ellyn @ Allonsythornraxx
  • Nominate 5+ bloggers you’d like to know more about to do this tag

Why did you start blogging and why have you kept blogging?

I first started blogging with a friend because she asked me to join her. When I started, I didn’t expect to love it as much as I did. Reading has become a huge part of my life and I love being able to express myself creatively through writing and photography with my Bookstagram account.

What is your favourite type of post to write?

I like writing reviews best, but I enjoy tags like this for a change of pace. I also love when I’m inspired to write something else entirely – like this post about reading to my kids.

What are your top three blog posts?

  1. Modern Books and Political Agendas
  2. Our Souls at Night – Review
  3. My Favorite Books of 2018

What are your five favourite things?

My family, friends, reading, working out, traveling.

What are your proudest blogging moments?

Reese’s Bookclub, Hello Sunshine, recently used one of my photos on their Instagram page. That was a really nice surprise! Also, when Colleen Hoover unexpectedly shared my review of All Your Perfects.

What are your hobbies outside of blogging?

I love lifting weights, biking, and running (though I’m a horrible runner). I also enjoy painting, doodling, or crafting. Anything that allows me to be creative is a win in my book.

Describe your personality in three words

Reserved, empathetic, loyal.

What are your top three pet peeves?

  1. People who seem to know-it-all and are unwilling to view anything from another’s perspective.
  2. Slow right turns on the road drive me mad!
  3. Unfairness or injustice.

What’s something that your followers don’t know about you?

There was actually a time in my life when I said I hated reading. I was burnt out on books from Accelerated Reading and required reading for school. I barely read at all in junior high or high school, with the exception of a book every now and again. It took years for me to rediscover the love I had for it again.

I think the fact that you run makes you a good runner. I didn’t know that you hated reading at one point. Oh how life is full of waves. Loved this post and thanks for the tag!

Yeah! I couldn’t believe she did. I think she stumbled across it on Goodreads and then she shared it.
