2019 is here and it’s time to put my plans to work. At the end of the year, I decided I would participate in NovelKnight‘s Beat the Backlist Challenge and Hogwarts House Mini Challenge to clean up my TBR a bit and knock out the books I’ve been wanting to read for years on my bookshelves and Kindle. As I read, I will cross off the books I’ve read and link my reviews. If I complete my list, I will continue to add to it from my Goodreads Want to Read list. I’m hoping to drastically lower my numbers this year so I can fully indulge in Netgalley and publisher requests next year. Wish me luck and lots of self-control.

I’ve only read Easy and I just saw that Kacy (fetteredmatriarch) just finished that one too. I love this idea even though I’m Ravenclaw and see your house spirit 🙂 I love all these authors though! I’ve read a few from most of them.

Great idea for a challenge. I’ve had The Last Letter from Your Lover sitting on my shelves for years and never cracked it. Hopefully you bring down your TBR!

Thank you!! I participated the year before last and completely gave up on it but I think that’s because I set my goal way to high and I got overwhelmed.

Thank you!! It’s pretty simple. You read what you want. No rules, no competition – just a fun way to catch up on books with other readers.

On your list. So look forward to reading your reviews!! I set up a beat the backlist but only did 10! Maybe I should have done more 🤔

This is such a cool idea. I’m definitely guilty of buying endless books and reading none of them 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️

Beat the Backlist is the one challenge I’m doing this year (aside from Goodreads, which is a given for me). Kudos to you for being able to commit to a list!
