Thank you Darinda and Krystin for nominating me for The Versatile Blogger Award!
I’m so excited you both thought of me and appreciate your nominations!!
THE RULES
• Thank the person who gave you the award
• Include a link to their blog
• Select 7 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly
• Nominate those bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award
• Finally, tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself
7 Things About Myself
- I strongly value morals in the world and people I know. I think this tends to make me more of a cynical person because I have high expectations which often cannot be met.
- I’m incredibly sensitive to sounds and startle easily. When I was in school, I would often jump if someone around me sneezed, coughed, or when the bell rang – making me the butt of many jokes. 😀
- I can be quite a hermit. I prefer anonymity and privacy above almost all things, which makes me difficult to get to know in person. The easiest way to learn more about me is to read what I write on here – it is easier to be open in writing than face-to-face.
- I often think I was born in the wrong generation. I have “old-fashioned” values, likes, and interests.
- I have moved eleven times in my life and have lived in four states: Michigan, Alabama, Colorado, and Texas. Someday, I hope to move again to a place I’ve never been before. I’ve become fond of starting over.
- I absolutely love the Winter in Texas. While everyone else bundles up, I drive around with my windows down like it’s summertime.
- I have a fondness for classic cars. My first car was a 1975 Camaro I bought for $100 dollars.

Thanks so much for the tag!! I’m usually quite a private person, too – blogging is a great way of changing that. ☺️

How many states have you visited so far?
I hope to go to all 50 eventually, though Alaska and Hawaii will be tough.

You and I are scary alike. I completely understand the moral thing — I’ve actually had to talk to professionals about that, since it doesn’t help my anxiety levels at all lol. I also love being alone. My condo is my safe place — if I could, I would work from home more often. I actually go to yoga RIGHT after work or I would never leave my condo until work the next day lol!
I’ve been told on a number of occasions that I don’t fit with my generation…oh well, I make do.
I’m also very sensitive to sounds – some actually hurt my ears; I feel bad because people will laugh really loud beside me and it makes me jump (and then mad because I was scared lol). I’m trying to get better at that…
I would love to see winter in Texas! I live in Ontario, Canada…the winters are beautiful! We have SO much snow right now! It’s just lovely!
Great post love!

That is just too crazy!! This is one of my favorite things about the internet! Being able to find other like-minded people from all over the world. How awesome is it that we have so many similarities?
I bet it gorgeous in Ontario right now. I would love to be where there’s snow. It’s almost 70 degrees here today. I actually was born in Northern Michigan and lived there for my first few years. We visited Ontario once, though it was in the summer. 🙂

I know eh?! And when you start to feel like you’re the only one, you see someone feel as the same way and realize that you really aren’t alone 🙂 I love that feeling.
It really is! We had a bunch of snow fall today – it was that pretty, fluffy snow! Yesterday was -20 C … little chilly, but oh well!
Summer is nice but humid! You should go to the East Coast and West Coast during summer in Canada – they’re both beautiful! I’ll make it to Texas one day. North Michigan sounds lovely, though I don’t think I know of anyone from there (until you ha-ha!).

I love that feeling too! It’s kind of comforting to know there are others like you out there!
Wow, that sounds nice. It’s a little chilly here for a change, but no snow, unfortunately. I sure miss it!
Summer is humid down here as well. I would love to travel Canada from the East to the West. My husband and I were talking about how great a big Canadian adventure would be last weekend, in fact!
