2019 Beat the Backlist

img_8773

Like any avid reader, I’m already prepping my 2019 to be read list, eagerly anticipating new releases from my favorite authors, like Amy Harmon’s What the Wind Knows. Though I’m eager for new releases, I desperately want to exercise self-control and finally check off the books that have been gathering dust on my shelves at home and the proverbial shelves on my Kindle. The beginning of the year may be more challenging than expected due to the ARCs I already have for the new year, but I’m determined to read the books I’ve been promising to! In order to stick to my goals, I thought some accountability would help, so I’ve decided to join NovelKnight’s 2019 Beat the Backlist!

I’ve updated my Goodreads to Read Shelf, written down monthly TBR goals, and I’m ready to read! Taking top priority on my TBR are backlist books by authors I love and some I’ve even had the opportunity to meet at book signings, including, Willow Aster, Whitney Barbetti, Renee Carlino, Amy Harmon, and Kim Holden. In January, I’m also determined to finally finish The Bronze Horseman series by Paullina Simons.

If your body is twitching underneath your stack of books like mine is, join us in this challenge for next year! If not, enjoy your stress-free life and wish me quiet evenings and fast eyes! 😉
